Lead times will vary depending on the service you require: Rework / Repairs - From the same day or while you wait. Prototypes – From 24 hours to 2 weeks. This is dependant on factors such as the build complexity, quantity and if parts are free issue or procured by us. Pinflex – Due to the nature of this product leadtimes are 5+ weeks due to the manufacturing of the pins and the flex PCBs. This leadtime can vary depending on if the PCBs are free issued or procured by us. For an accurate quote please contact us. Can we visit you? Of course! we love to meet with our new and existing customers and suppliers. Contact us to arrange a visit Do you source PCBs from the UK? We source the majority of our PCBs from UK manufacturers, if you have a preferred supplier you want us to use please let us know. We can also source from Europe and China. Are your technicians IPC trained? Yes! Our technicians are trained to IPC-610 and we have technicians trained to IPC-600. What is the smallest component size you can place? Advanced Assembly Solutions is your ‘middleman’ between design houses and large CEMs. We have a focus on prototype assembly and pinflex assembly. We have over 35 years within the electronic manufacturing and the PCB manufacturing industries, which we use to assist our customers across the various manufacturing stages of their product and ensure it is ready to go into full scale production. We pride ourselves on being flexible to ensure our customers get their product right the first time. During manufacture you are welcome to amend any part of the manufacturing process, track modifications, and components changes. Our production capabilities cover a wide range of manufacturing applications from through hole, surface mount, final product assembly/box builds, beading & encapsulation, conformal coat, wiring, test and repair. Shawn Wadham Role: Managing Director Shawn started working in the electronics industry during the year 2000 when he got an apprenticeship for a large CEM, it was here that his love for all things electronics sparked to life. From here Shawn worked for various companies and CEMs, collecting knowledge and important skills. In 2017 Shawn then had the opportunity to run the Assembly and Pinflex department at Lyncolec in Poole and really showcase his skills. Building electronics has become second nature to Shawn and there isn’t much that he hasn’t seen. Fun Fact: Shawn owns a 1984 Austin Mini 25th anniversary addition called Cyril! Sophie Bill Role: Managing Director Sophie comes from a background of sales and customer service but was given the opportunity to join Lyncolec as a Quality Technician. Sophie very quickly gained the knowledge and skills needed to maintain an AS9100 QMS and conduct AS9102 FAIRs alongside IPC lab testing and inspecting. Sophie always remains organised and driven, with a passion for each and every project. Fun Fact: Sophie is our inhouse mechanic (self-taught) and has her own project car in which she is attempting to fix up herself. Tess Iles Role: Sales & Planning Manager Tess started in the industry over 35 years ago by working at CEMs and eventually went on to set up the successful assembly department at Lyncolec. She has high level of skills in assembly, sales and procurement. She has an outstanding ability to find even the most obscure parts. Fun Fact: Tess is our resident crazy cat lady. Mary Role: Electronic Technician Mary joined the industry in 2015, and within her 10 years in the industry she quickly worked her way up to a supervisor role and has been qualified as an IPC-610 CIS. Mary has high level of skills and expertise on surface mount, through hole, box builds and building pinflex. With her hardworking and caring nature, you can be assured all your projects will be released to the highest quality. Fun Fact: Mary is our resident Yogi and keeps everyone Zen Kyle Role: Electronic Technician Kyle joined the industry back in 2016 specifically to learn and build pinflex. Kyle’s love of the electronics industry grew and has since been highly trained in surface mount, through hole, wiring, box builds, IPC inspection and testing. With Kyle’s hard-working attitude and keen eye for detail, you know your project is in the best hands. Fun Facts: He indulges in blacksmithing and was trained as a Ninja!
